The Eye Foundation continues to work toward our mission of giving every person every opportunity to see. Remembering The Eye Foundation in your Will helps us to continue to do so into the future as we work to uncover the causes, treatments and eventually cures for eye disease, and to alleviate avoidable blindness in our region. You may choose where you would like to designate your bequest, whether it be ground-breaking research or sustainable development projects restoring eye health in disadvantaged communities. The Renensson Bequest Scholarship In 1996, Juanita Riva Renensson bequested over $450,000 to The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) to fund education and research into eye disease. RANZCO invested the capital, setting up The Renensson Estate Trust Fund. To date, along with providing support for educational purposes, the interest from the trust fund has been used to fund research projects on an annual basis. In 2007, RANZCO transferred The Renensson Estate Trust Fund to The Eye Foundation, which continues to administer the trust fund as stipulated by the late Juanita Riva Renensson.
